Mexico, we're coming !!!

Woohoo, the moment we've all been waiting for! We're ditching Costa Rica and setting sail for Mexico. That's 550 nautical miles, or in sailor terms, a four-day, four-night ocean nap. Easy peasy! Captain Micha and I got our trusty vessel, Samsara, all shipshape yesterday, while Chef Charly and Sous Chef Sara whipped up some grub so we can avoid playing "Iron Chef: High Seas Edition." The checkout process in Costa Rica was an epic disaster, featuring two days of marathon running, endless debates with the so-called "officials," and a grand finale where Captain Micha gave them the Italian salute (yep, the middle finger), cranked up the Panama papers, and we bid them farewell with a cheeky wave of our backsides.
The first day and night were as thrilling as watching paint dry. Sara and I bounced around

on the trampoline, took epic naps on our giant sofa in the salon, and watched our dolphin pals play tag with Samsara. When boredom struck and our dads were too busy adulting to play, we decided to get creative and shredded the nets around the railing. We figured Daddy Micha needed a hobby besides scrolling through Instagram. Surprisingly, he wasn't thrilled with our masterpiece, but he jumped right into action and patched everything up like a pro. As night fell, the sea turned into a grumpy old man, so we retreated to the salon while Daddy Micha pulled an all-nighter at the helm, dodging the fishermen's aquatic booby traps. It was like playing a frustrating game of Operation, and despite his ninja-like focus,

we snagged 3 lines. Luckily, Samsara is a performance boat with fancy inverted bows, so the lines got pushed up instead of tangling in the propeller, making it easy for Daddy Micha to play pirate and slice through them.
Since Mother Nature refused to hit the snooze button on those wild waves, we decided to make a beeline for San Salvador and spend the rest of the day and the next night there. Genius move! With a massive beach waiting for us, Sara and I immediately put our dads to work, whisking us to the shore in the dinghy. It was epic! We dashed around like caffeinated squirrels, discovered heaps of beach junk, and guess what? Sara stumbled upon a genuine shark head! Naturally, we hauled it over to our dads to freak them out. Totally terrifying but also totally awesome. Those shark teeth are seriously gnarly, like something out of a horror movie. I heard Rottweilers have a bite force similar to big sharks, and I'm convinced I can out-swim them. Next time I spot one in the water, I'm totally catching it for a closer look. Watch out, Shark Week!

The next morning, the sea decided to chill out, so we set sail for the second leg of our journey to Chiapas, Mexico. The day and night that followed were quite boring, nothing interesting happened. We cruised along the coast of Guadeloupe at a thrilling 8.5 knots and reached Chiapas the next morning, where we rolled into a fantastic marina packed with other cruisers and their furry friends. Once we docked and made sure Samsara was snug as a bug, the border guards came aboard with a real K9 detective on a mission to sniff out trouble. Spoiler alert: he found nada. Shortly after, Daddy Micha teamed up with the marina manager to tackle the immigration paperwork. Meanwhile, we zoomed around the marina with Daddy Charly, catching up with our pals and checking out the scene. Thank goodness we were hooked up to shore power with the air conditioning blasting, because the marina was hotter than a jalapeño in July with zero breeze.

The next few days were a blast! We spent practically the entire day dashing around the marina, lending a hand to Daddy as he tinkered with Samsara. Sara and I became expert gate-climbers at the Sugarscoops—spoiler alert, we were now free to roam the marina like two little adventurers and even embarked on some shopping escapades into town to stock up on goodies. All in all, we hung out in Chiapas for a little over a week before braving the notorious Gulf of Tehuantepec, which sailors dread more than a soggy sandwich, and set sail for Acapulco. But that's a tale for another time!
Before I let you scamper off to your daily shenanigans, I've got a little favor to ask. You've probably heard about the wildfires in California, right? Los Angeles and San Diego have been toasted like marshmallows at a campfire, and in the chaos, many folks had left their pets behind.

While some of our beloved furry friends were lost in this devastating fire, many were heroically rescued by our brave firefighters. These animals are now in shelters, longing for a new home. With the influx of new arrivals, the shelters are overcrowded and running low on essentials. Sara, myself, and our dads are committed to

creating a brighter future for these four-legged companions. We are raising funds to support the shelters with food, medicine, and toys, but we need your help. Here's the call to action: please donate whatever you can to assist us. Whether it's $1, $5, or any amount you can contribute, it will make a significant impact.
